Baroque Works agents disguised as the rebel army try to stall the Marines, accusing them of striking down innocents caught in the fighting. Tashigi silences the speaker by cutting him down, then orders her troops to rely on their own instincts to pick out the enemy, noting how little time is left before half past four. High on the tower, the two snipers daydream about the promotions a successful detonation would earn them, and the male agent who fills the Mr. 7 slot, paired with Miss Father's Day, readies the cannon's fuse.

In the chamber below, Crocodile puzzles over how Luffy keeps fighting against all odds as the boy keeps hammering at him. Luffy fires off Gomu Gomu no Gatling, which the Warlord slips at high speed. Crocodile observes that the poison is numbing Luffy and remarks that, win or lose, the boy will end up buried in rubble, calling it a miracle he still stands after two earlier bouts and a punishing amount of damage.

With the seconds draining away, Nami sets her plan in motion: Chopper in Walk Point balances on Usopp while Vivi rides atop Chopper. Nami's Cyclone Tempo, aimed at Usopp's crotch, blasts him along with Chopper and Vivi skyward toward Sanji, who kicks the bundle higher to Zoro's perch. Zoro readies his swords to fling Vivi and Chopper the final stretch, warning her that two oddballs wait above with the bomb. As the snipers catch sight of the airborne crew and take aim, Luffy snaps back at Crocodile that he refuses to abandon Vivi, swearing that so long as she will not give up on Arabasta, neither he nor his crew will stop fighting, even if it kills them. Seven seconds are left as Zoro prepares the launch toward the device.

The chapter turns on Nami's improvised launch chain, relaying Vivi up through Chopper, Usopp, Sanji, and finally Zoro toward the summit, with seven seconds remaining as the toss into the snipers' line of fire looms. The cover continues Hatchan's Sea-Floor Stroll, where Hatchan rushes back to where he met Macro, finds the gang long gone, and is greeted by Pappag, who points the way.
