Chapter 247

Awed by the priest's strength, Luffy, Sanji, and Usopp listen as Satori taunts that they must defeat him quickly to recover their vessel. Luffy orders the other two after the Karasumaru, vowing to handle the enemy himself. His assault is read and turned aside once more, leaving him beaten with ease, so Satori shifts to harrying Sanji and Usopp with his orbs to keep them pinned until Luffy rejoins the fray.

Luffy's wild punches miss the priest entirely and instead slam into the floating spheres all around, triggering every concealed trap at once. Amid the chaos Usopp fires his rope weapon to snag the boat, though he forgets to free the line from his belt and ends up hauled along beneath it. Satori drives a brutal impact dial into Sanji's chest and warns that the remaining two are next. Elsewhere, Chopper guards the Going Merry alone when the priest Shura arrives to claim the sacrifices; overwhelmed by panic, the reindeer blows the whistle to call the Knight of the Sky, Gan Fall, in a frantic bid for rescue.

Luffy, Sanji, and Usopp continue clashing with Satori, and Chopper first encounters Shura. The cover shows Wapol struggling to sell matchsticks in the cold, a nod to The Little Match Girl. Appearing characters include the active Straw Hats plus several crewmates in flashback, the priests Shura and Satori, and Fuza, with Wapol and Hakowan on the cover.
