Chapter 315

A huge blast rocks the ship, and onlookers brace for Luffy to be in pieces, yet Itomimizu and Chuchun spot him crouched atop a mast. Foxy's laughter rises from the smoke, and when he fires another Noro Noro Beam, Luffy slips behind him with a Gomu Gomu Hook and threatens to break his hands, scattering him back into the haze. Luffy punches what turns out to be a cardboard decoy, then faces a row of identical Foxy cutouts, complaining he cannot tell which target is real when they all share the same ugly haircut. He finds the genuine Foxy sulking on the ground and decks him, but Foxy fakes a three-headed monkey, pulls a lever, and drops Luffy into a secret room with shifting floors that wash him off the ship until he stretches back aboard.

Foxy keeps hiding as Luffy charges through an open door despite Nami's warning of a trap. In a cannon room Luffy fires a shot at Foxy, who is lurking beside a chamber of blades, sending him onto the spikes, only for Foxy to spring up enraged and punch him. Foxy then disguises himself in the infirmary as a female nurse, whom Luffy fails to recognize and even mistakes for Foxy's sister, before being ambushed by a Fox Blow. Fleeing to the kitchen, Foxy poses as a male chef, and only when Luffy's insults visibly wound him does Luffy realize his foe has been in disguise all along. Foxy admits to the nurse ruse, slows Luffy with another beam, strikes with a Nine-Tail Rush, and pulls a lever opening yet another room, warning that something horrible waits beyond the door.

Both Luffy and Foxy survive the earlier explosion. Foxy runs Luffy through a series of traps, decoys, secret rooms, and disguises, repeatedly evading capture while wearing down his opponent with the Noro Noro Beam.
