Chapter 452

Luffy, having helped himself to a discarded suit of armor for the sheer romance of it, searches the halls with Franky and Robin for their lost crewmates. A heavily armored figure drops in to impale Franky, who dodges and trades blows with the zombie inside. Franky lands his Strong Right and Weapons Left, takes a cut to the forearm, and flings the corpse across the room, noting it is on a wholly different level than the earlier zombies. Buhichuck taunts that none of their friends are safe.

Buhichuck slips away and seals the exit, leaving the trio ringed by armored General Zombies. Luffy dodges a familiar 36 Pound Cannon and asks if Zoro is present, but the warrior names himself Jigoro. The distraction lets the zombies seize Luffy and slide him off in a web-sealed coffin bound for the Mast Mansion. Robin and Franky fight free with Slam and Fresh Fire, only to have the giant spider monkey Tararan land in their path and declare them finished.

The General Zombies are shown to be far tougher than ordinary ones because each was a renowned warrior in life. Jigoro of the Wind reportedly slew seven thousand pirates to guard his family and borrows both Zoro's technique and his old vow to Dracule Mihawk that a back scar is shameful. Luffy is captured and shipped off in the coffin, and Tararan arrives to cut off the rescue. The cover shows the Automata tearfully burying their creator Tsukimi.
