Chapter 465

Perona tries to rattle Usopp by recalling how he fled from Kumashi, but he shrugs it off, insisting that as a sniper her flight changes nothing about his aim. He shows off his new weapon, Kabuto, with five stabilizing stems and a Breath Dial from Skypiea, plus Impact, Flash, and Flame Dials to amplify his shots. Yet every projectile he fires phases harmlessly through her, since her body can pass through anything.

Perona plunges her hands into Usopp and bluffs that she is gripping his heart, sending him into a panic before admitting she has no such power. She conjures Mini Hollows, small ghosts she detonates with Ghost Wrap, blasting Usopp with shockwaves while his own attacks remain useless against her. Kumashi rejoins the assault and pummels him into the ground. Cornered and despairing that he alone could not stop her from felling the whole crew, Usopp calls on Sogeking, donning the mask and forcing salt down Kumashi's throat to purify the bear.

The chapter finally details Kabuto and expands the Horo Horo no Mi: Perona can project an intangible, size-shifting, flying spirit while her real body lies limp, and she can also spawn ghosts that deal physical harm. As his Sogeking persona urges him to think, Usopp reasons that Perona's earlier retreat proved his attacks could threaten her, and that her sudden confidence followed a moment she vanished from sight. Firing Atlas Suisei through a curtained door, he tears open a wall to reveal her true body lying motionless on a bed.
