Just as the crowd starts celebrating, Oars hauls himself back upright, forcing the battered Straw Hats to scramble into action again. Zoro orders the Rolling Pirates clear of the line of fire while Robin sprouts a ladder of legs across the tower wall, letting Brook carry Luffy up toward the highest point of Thriller Bark. Below, the rest of the crew drenches the giant with one of Nami's rain attacks, an act so strange the onlookers mistake her for a sorceress.

With Oars soaked through, Franky and Usopp fire an improvised freezing cannon that locks his legs in ice, and Sanji and Chopper bind him in the rudder chain. Atop the mast, Luffy readies the finisher. Zoro folds the giant's belly with Sanzen Sekai, Sanji kicks the chain to yank Oars upright, and Chopper explains that a straightened spine loses its shock-absorbing curve. Brook hurls Luffy, who inflates both arms in Gear 3 and lands the Giant Bazooka. Oars tries to counterpunch but his ruined right arm fails him, a weakness he never noticed since zombies feel no pain. The blow snaps his spine and leaves him fully paralyzed.

This marks the first time Brook fights together with the whole Straw Hat crew, and the full payoff of Zoro's Sanzen Sekai, a technique Mihawk had earlier shrugged off at the Baratie. Moria stays knocked out for the entire exchange. Oars is officially recorded as beaten by the Straw Hats. The chapter adapts into anime Episode 373.
