Chapter 514

Back on Sabaody, Duval and his Rosy Life Riders stand watch over the Thousand Sunny in Grove 41, awaiting the coating mechanic. At the auctioning house, Saint Shalria seethes over the harm done to her father and brother and the freeing of the slaves, while Marines promise her that Kizaru will handle the pirates. At Shakky's bar, a frightened Camie worries over the crew despite Hatchan and Pappag's reassurances, and Shakky observes that the age itself is starting to shift, cautioning that the Straw Hats are not yet ready to face an admiral.

Luffy, meanwhile, hurtles over the ocean cursing Kuma and bellowing his friends' names in the order he recruited them, from Zoro down to Brook. Asleep mid-flight, he wakes as he slams into an island, carving a bear-paw crater into the jungle floor.

Recalling the Vivre Card Rayleigh gave him, Luffy sets off in the direction it points, oblivious to a giant boar chasing him and a wall in his path. He shatters the obstruction with a Gear 3 arm, then, spent and starving, devours the boar before sampling a patch of mushrooms. The fungi prove toxic, sprouting all over his body and knocking him out cold. Island women led by Marguerite find him, mistake him for a girl, and rush him back to their village. They burn off the stubborn mushroom stalks and carry him to the river to bathe, only to discover a mushroom between his legs that turns out to be anatomy, not fungus. Elder Nyon recognizes the truth: the unconscious patient is a man, an unheard-of thing on Amazon Lily.

This chapter launches the Amazon Lily Arc and reveals the all-female island where Luffy has landed. The Sabaody fallout is shown through the protected Sunny and the recovering Takoyaki 8 crew. The cover advances the CP9 story, with the agents deciding they must leave St. Poplar. Pages 2 through 19 were adapted in Episode 408.
