Summary

Spotting Law from atop Brownbeard, Luffy loudly thanks him for the rescue at Marineford two years earlier, though Law responds with cold detachment, insisting he acted only on a whim and warning that as fellow pirates they must stay wary. Undeterred, Luffy keeps grinning and expressing gratitude. Law directs the group to the back of the research facility, promising they will find what they seek there and that the two will meet again. As Tashigi rushes the wounded Smoker, Law swaps the minds of the two Marines before Luffy's party departs.

Key Events

Inside the lab, the body-swapped Straw Hats herd the freezing children until the samurai head conjures coats and shoes for everyone with a cry of "poof," revealing a disguise-based Devil Fruit he likens to sorcery. The two groups reunite and compare notes, and the samurai recovers his legs, to Luffy's dismay over losing "Leggy." He explains he came seeking his son Momonosuke, that Law sliced him into three pieces, and that Law is now a Warlord. Smoker, stuck in Tashigi's body, recalls the CC marking on a hidden ship and concludes the mastermind is Vegapunk's former colleague, the insane weapons expert Caesar Clown, who begins condensing from the vapor.
