Chapter 706

Bartolomeo strides into the arena as the announcer brands him cruel and the man most people wish would disappear. He taunts the booing crowd and hurls an object that sparks a panic until it lands as a harmless ball, then shrugs off Dagama's scorn, indifferent to opinion. The announcer next builds up his opposite, a fanatically loyal servant of Doflamingo who once brought him a golden pillar and razed nations that mocked Dressrosa.

Backstage, the wounded are rushed toward the infirmary as Luffy notes how badly Burgess battered everyone. Bellamy approaches from behind, claiming he can see straight through the disguise and could never forget the man who wrecked his name. The two trade words about their shared past at Jaya and the road that changed Bellamy.

Bartolomeo the Cannibal is introduced with a bounty of one hundred fifty million, and Bellamy's has climbed to one hundred ninety-five million. Bellamy sees through Luffy's disguise and reveals he visited a Sky Island at the cost of some of his crew, returning a changed man. Doflamingo gave him another chance for delivering the gold pillar, and Bellamy holds no grudge, vowing never to laugh at Luffy again. Winning the tournament would earn him a leadership post among the Donquixote Pirates.

The narration lists standout fighters from each block before the Block B royale starts. Cavendish is placed in Block D. When the bell rings, Bellamy's many rivals in Block B immediately conspire to gang up and eliminate him while their numbers hold, abandoning any pretense of a free-for-all.

The cover continues the Caribou serial, where he returns to find the old woman collapsed beside a single photograph. Bellamy declares he no longer cares about the Mera Mera no Mi and wants only to win and rejoin Doflamingo. A printing quirk drops Bellamy's left scar in the Shonen Jump version, and Pandaman hides from Bartolomeo's prank in the fourth page.
