Chapter 831

At the island's southwestern shore the Shark Submerge III surfaces carrying Pedro and Brook, who plan to infiltrate Big Mom's castle and copy her Road Poneglyph, Brook offering to detach his soul to slip inside. They submerge and steer upriver toward the chateau while Luffy, Nami, Chopper, and Carrot go ashore. Luffy insists he glimpsed Sanji and Pudding, and soon he, Chopper, and Carrot bolt after a figure of Sanji into a forest made wholly of sweets, though Nami sees no one and grows wary.

Distracted at every turn by edible scenery, the trio nearly become a meal when a giant crocodile in a bowler hat and suspenders lunges from beneath a bridge. It deems them mere humans and strolls off on two legs, offending Luffy. Then a second Luffy appears, mirroring the first's every move and expression, and the two fall into a fistfight that perfectly matches blow for blow.

While the Luffys brawl, Nami, Chopper, and Carrot pursue a fleeing Sanji and stumble onto a huge man buried to his neck who claims he enjoys being buried and begs for juice. A rabbit riding a great bird then swoops in, swinging a spear that slices living trees apart. The group's compasses and watches begin spinning wildly as everything in the Seducing Woods stirs to life, intent on hiding the pirates' escape and trapping them in a lethal game.

The chapter sends Pedro and Brook off to steal a Road Poneglyph copy and brings the others into the Seducing Woods, lured by a fake Sanji holding a lollipop rather than a cigarette. Luffy's double is later revealed as Charlotte Brulee, the rabbit warrior as Randolph, and the buried man as Pound. The cover shows Marguerite presenting Luffy's new poster on Rusukaina.
