Atop the Whole Cake Chateau rooftop, the festivities are well underway, and Vito peers over the wall to watch Morgans chat with Judge. Though Bege brushes off the danger, Vito notes the formidable Charlotte children present, naming Perospero, Compote, Katakuri, Smoothie, Daifuku, and Oven, and admits his unease at moving against such people. Within the rooftop walls, a chess soldier carries over the framed image of Mother Carmel and shows it to Big Mom, who brightens at once. Her guests share in the cheer despite not knowing the woman, but when a newcomer asks who Carmel is, a furious Big Mom unleashes Supreme King Haki and knocks him out cold. The Underworld rulers then offer their presents for her and Pudding, and at Morgans' prompting she reveals the Tamatebako, promising to open it together with her other gifts during the banquet after the ceremony.

Two Fire Tank Pirates report their preparations complete. Bege confirms the cooks have all gathered at the tea party, every exit is sealed, and signals are scrambled by a Horned Den Den Mushi, then orders his men to change. He has Caesar step out of his body holding the large escape mirror and instructs the scientist to hide it and fly in the moment Big Mom begins shrieking, so the assassins can flee through it after striking her down. When a door homie catches sight of the pair and grows suspicious, Bege has Gotti slice off its face. Checking inside his body thirty minutes before the ceremony, Bege is startled to find Luffy and the crew asleep, but Jinbe asks him to let them rest, having gone without sleep since landing on the island, and pledges to wake them ten minutes ahead of time.

The chapter falls within the Whole Cake Island Arc, and its cover features Nekomamushi sprawled across a kotatsu draped in tiny cats. In the bride and groom's chamber on the ninth floor, Sanji repeatedly loses himself in Pudding's beauty as she plays the weeping bride, even as he reminds himself she means to kill him. When she teases about kissing him on the lips, he erupts in a nosebleed and slams into the wall; she frets over him in public while privately aching to be rid of him. As the ceremony opens, Zeus ferries the pair in aboard an enormous teacup, and Bege quietly remarks on what a convincing actor Sanji makes, unaware his infatuation is genuine. The chapter also introduces more of the Charlotte Family and confirms Luffy's group is concealed within Bege's body.
