Summary

Stung at losing his advantage, Luffy fires a Kong Gun that Katakuri deflects before counterattacking and bouncing him off the wall. Katakuri insists that as long as he keeps his cool, Luffy cannot win, but Luffy vows to dig out a new weakness. Sensing his Gear 4 fading, Luffy breaks off and runs, with Katakuri refusing to let him escape. As his transformation wears off, Luffy grabs a nearby Brulee, who is seated by a mirror, and leaps through it just as Katakuri fails to seize him.

Key Events

Luffy emerges on Nuts Island, where Big Mom tears through the city hunting for cake despite Perospero and Amande trying to calm her. Perospero spots Luffy with Brulee and alerts his mother, who turns her fury on them. He raises a Candy Wall to block the escape, but Luffy's Gigant Pistol fails to break it; when Amande strikes, Luffy dodges and vaults over the barrier, still dragging Brulee as he flees. Aboard the Sunny, Nami and Jinbe scout the eerily calm sea, and Nami concludes they must regroup with Sanji's group to avoid Big Mom's wrath.

Notes

Amande is confirmed a Charlotte Family member, previously only hinted in an SBS column. Big Mom's full fleet, led by the Queen Mama Chanter and a host of Tarteships, assembles under Mont-d'Or to sink the Straw Hats, Fire Tank Pirates, and Sun Pirates on sight. On Cacao Island, a chef faints from Sanji's whipped simsim cream, his secret ingredient nearly deadly in its sweetness. With the cake baked and the chocolate and cream ready, the group prepares to set sail and finish decorating en route to the Sunny. The cover shows the alliance rebuilding a ship from wreckage.
