Within the Mirro-World, Luffy soaks up vicious punishment from Katakuri yet keeps hauling himself back to his feet, straining to lift his Observation Haki toward the commander's level. Every counter he attempts is foreseen and shut down, Katakuri striking his head and shoulders to deny any opening. The fight has stretched so long that mirrors cracking across Hakuriki Town on Komugi Island leave bystanders amazed. On Whole Cake Island, the clock reading half past nine in the evening, Stussy informs Mont-d'Or and Niwatori of a startling truth: the Tamatebako handed over by the Straw Hats was what set off the blast that brought the towering chateau down.

Charlotte Flampe, the family's 36th daughter and head of Katakuri's fan club, orders her snipers to riddle Luffy, but his speed renders them useless and she spears one with a fork in frustration. She hungers for Katakuri's favor as a way to rise above her 41 elder siblings. Aboard the Nostra Castello, Sanji's group completes the wedding cake to cheering; Pudding swings from venom to sweetness, and both Sanji and Luffy resolve to rejoin their crews because the others place their trust in them. Out at sea, Chopper unleashes Monster Point and readies a desperate bid to drag Big Mom into the ocean as a giant Prometheus bears down, until Nami sights the Nostra Castello and Big Mom catches the cake's scent.

Flampe makes her first appearance here; her debut printing mistakenly listed her as the 33rd daughter, a slip corrected on the day of release. The cake is finally complete, Luffy starts catching glimpses of the future as Katakuri does, and Big Mom smells the dessert. The cover continues the Grand Fleet feature with Leo's Tonta Corps pledging to rebuild their town.
