Chapter 893

Katakuri jeers at Luffy for failing to block the piercing hit to his side and keeps jabbing at him with his spear, then unloads a flurry of punches that splinters the floor around the downed pirate. He admits disappointment, claiming he had only begun to respect Luffy's ability. Sprawled on the ground, Luffy replays more of his training under Silvers Rayleigh and forces himself back upright. Flampe and her snipers cackle at how he refuses to stay down despite the mounting damage, and her loud laughter finally draws Katakuri's attention.

Realizing Flampe's bullet caused the opening that let him stab Luffy, Katakuri walks toward her not to thank her but to condemn her. He gashes his own body in the identical spot, splashing blood onto her face, then strips off his scarf and rebukes her circle for breaking up a one-on-one duel, telling them that if they mock Luffy they should mock him too. The onlookers see only his distorted mouth and recoil in horror; Flampe brands him a monster, spits on him, and orders photos to broadcast his deformity across Totto Land. A flashback shows children fleeing the young Katakuri over that same mouth. Returning to Luffy, he apologizes for the interference, and after Luffy notes that fairness has no place in a pirate fight, the pair unleash a joint burst of Supreme King Haki that drops Flampe and her followers.

Katakuri's mouth is revealed to Flampe, ending her adoration, and his childhood ostracism over it is shown.
