Perospero and Chiffon watch expectantly across Funwari Island as their mother samples the first slice of her wedding cake. Only now does Chiffon appreciate the cook's real talent, having been annoyed earlier by how casually Sanji approached the baking. The initial bites send Big Mom toppling backward, which frightens Perospero, but tears of pure joy soon follow as she cries out that this dessert is precisely the one she had chased for so long. Her senseless rampage ends before every witness. When Bavarois brings up poison, Perospero admits he still believes some was mixed in, yet reasons it simply did nothing to her. He proceeds to broadcast across all of Totto Land the news that her frenzy has ceased, and jubilation erupts on every island. Though credited as the baker, Pudding, hearing grateful citizens from a Cacao Island alley, privately reflects that the true author of the cake was not herself.

On the sea by Cacao Island, Smoothie and Daifuku watch the Sun Pirates halt the enemy fleet and strike it, which opens a sailing lane for Luffy's crew, and Jinbe discovers that his former comrades knocked out the Territorial Sea Slugs as well. Emerging through a mirror onto a single blockade ship, Oven informs the crew that Brulee supplied rounds designed to pierce Germa 66. Unable to pardon the man who beat Katakuri, he sinks his arms into the water and makes it boil, and the searing heat drives the Sun Pirates far below the surface to escape. Far away on Whole Cake Island, word reaches Mont-d'Or that the Queen Mama Chanter is nearly upon them.

As she eats, Big Mom breaks into song, fumbling for language to describe a taste she can barely grasp. Off Cacao Island, the enhanced bullets crush the Vinsmoke siblings while the Queen Mama Chanter bears down on the Sunny. Flavor pulls her memory back to Mother Carmel and to the celebration of her sixth birthday, and she realizes this happiness matches the croquembouche she ate then. She expresses a longing to someday dine again with the family of her youth and recalls Carmel's dream, passed to her, of a unified realm where every race in Totto Land might coexist. Mid-fantasy, her forces slam the Germa vessels with an enormous blast, and Judge is confronted by Snack and one more attacker. At a distance, cannon fire from the Queen Mama Chanter pounds the ship, apparently destroying it, and its sail carrying the Jolly Roger drifts through the wreckage.
