Mercury Aqua Mist equips Sailor Mercury with a technique built on steam, fog, and mist, and it turns up in the manga, Crystal, the live-action Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, and the stage shows. Over time it gives way to the stronger Shine Aqua Illusion.
Mechanics
In the manga the move raises a dense fog, though in Act 3 Jadeite counters by freezing it solid; the original printing showed her cast it silently, and only the later rerelease gave the attack its name. Crystal has blue water energy pool in her hands to spread a thick, blinding mist across her enemies. The live-action version reworks it into her very first and more directly offensive attack, closer to a focused blast than a disorienting cloud, in which she builds power within her Jewelry Star Bracelet, spins several times, and thrusts her joined hands forward. The staging in the Nogizaka46 production first turned it on Zoisite.
