Journey to the Future: Battle in the Space-Time Corridor

Bound for the future, Sailor Moon and her teammates come face to face with Sailor Pluto, the lone sentinel of the Space-Time Door. Pluto unseals the passage for them, but the group soon learns that Esmeraude has rigged a snare along the route. She dispatches a Droid with orders to seize Chibiusa and, freed from any need to keep Sailor Moon alive, to kill the child outright.

The confrontation ends when the united team obliterates the Droid using the Sailor Planet Attack, then presses on through the gateway toward the era that lies beyond. The clash marks the first use of that combined technique, and it is also the final time a Droid serves as the monster of the day.

Harume Kosaka directed the installment from a script by Katsuyuki Sumizawa, and it premiered in Japan on January 22, 1994. The DiC dub, retitled Future Shocked, reached North America on December 11, 1998, later joined by a Viz stream on July 17, 2015. Relative to the manga the sequence is reworked: only part of the cast meets Pluto at the door, and no enemy is fought during the crossing itself. The dub also trimmed Chibiusa's dream and renamed the group attack Sailor Planet Power.
