Dungeon & Lizards Arc

Fourth in the Solo Leveling order, this arc places Jinwoo on a C-Rank dungeon team he joins solely to make quick money and grind levels. The Hunters who welcome him to the job wear friendly faces, yet that warmth conceals a planned betrayal. The chapter is best remembered for two things: the first encounter with a hunter who becomes a key ally, and the desperate fight to survive once the ambush is sprung.

The raid takes place in the Insects Dungeon and opens calmly before the mood turns hostile. Jinwoo first clashes with the Giant Arachnid Buryura and slays it, then turns on Hwang Dongsuk and his Lizards, killing both the man and his creatures. Filling out the surrounding roster are Lee Chul-Jin, Goo Juntae, Cho Kyuhwan, Sung Jinah, and Yoo Jinho, with Hwang Dongsoo getting a passing mention. Insectoids serve as the dungeon's lesser threats.

This arc introduces Jinwoo to Yoo Jinho, a bond that grows central as the story unfolds. His personal progress holds steady too: he gains the Sprint skill at level one, advances to level 21, and acquires Bloodlust at level one. The source flags a handful of adaptation changes, such as a phone call with Hwang Dongsuk cut from the webtoon and a novel scene where Jinwoo brings down Buryura without ever using Status Recovery.
