Summary

Suho encounters the entity known as the World Tree's Shadow and soaks up every piece of knowledge it offers, while the Shadow Dwarves bring his Kamish's Wrath back to perfect shape. Together with Ammut and Sirka, he takes on the many-headed Nidhogg, lopping off all of its heads yet coming away with none of the Primordial Darkness in that opening fight. Over in the Primordial Forest, Gray carves through a string of beasts and meets Behemoth, a duel first broken up by Suho's arrival before the two of them finish Behemoth off.

A separate, unseen battle rages worldwide against the cloned forms of the Apostle of Conquest. The fighters who bring it down are a four-strong group: Liu Zhigang stands among them, and so does Cha Hae-In, with Sung Il-Hwan and Thomas Andre rounding out the line. Their victory closes out the threat the Apostle's copies pose.

Aftermath

The arc finishes with a cascade of new ascensions. Gray claims the role of King of Beasts and Monarch of the Hunt, while Suho gains the Fruit of the World Tree skill and wields it to draw out the Apostle of Conquest's Rune Stone, which Arsha then absorbs to become Queen of Insects and Monarch of Void. Having lost its final head, Nidhogg is destroyed once and for all, and Suho himself rises as Guardian of the World Tree, the Monarch of Transcendence, setting the stage for the North Pole Arc.
