Numbered twenty-eight within Solo Leveling's webtoon, this entry reunites Song Chi-Yul with survivors of the Double Dungeon and introduces the Substitute Hunter program. The art is by Dubu, with Chu-Gong handling the writing.
Inside his kumdo dojo, Chi-Yul is coaching students when an urgent raid alert reaches him. One pupil, an S-Rank hunter whose name and face stay hidden, gently raises retirement given his age and missing arm. Chi-Yul admits the limits but resolves to keep serving with whatever strength remains. On the way to the raid he muses on the cruel joke that his lifelong swordsmanship was undone when he awakened as a mage, though he trusts some purpose lies behind it.
Walking on, Song catches sight of Jinwoo and is stunned by the change in him; the once mild-looking youth seems someone else entirely. He is further amazed that the leg Jinwoo lost in their earlier encounter has been fully restored through the System.
At the gate, chance reunites Song with fellow Double Dungeon survivors. Haunted by having left Jinwoo behind, both Kim Sangshik and Kang Jeongho avoid his gaze, their guilt plain, while Lee Joohee beams at seeing him whole again after all they endured.
What remains of the raid party then shows up, three handcuffed C-Rank hunters among them. These convicted criminals join raids under a Substitute Hunter scheme that shaves time off their sentences, watched over by Kang Taeshik, a B-Rank officer from the Hunter's Association tasked with keeping them in line; a hunter shortage pushed the Association into the practice. The chapter sits in the Dungeon & Prisoners Arc, maps to Episode 8, and lands in volume three.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
