Chapter 37

Producing his Yoojin contract, Jinwoo readies himself to go but stops to warn Ahn Sangmin against digging into his business, his voice cold as he rests a hand on the man's shoulder. When Ahn turns to answer, Jinwoo has slipped from sight, a vanishing act powered by his Stealth skill that drives home exactly why Ahn wants him. Noticing a fresh nick on his cheek, Ahn explains he was only looking into the C-Rank gate situation rather than prying into Jinwoo personally, and he vows to keep what he saw quiet. Jinwoo reappears, apologizes for monopolizing the gates, and offers three of them at three hundred million won apiece.

Recognizing the gates are exactly what his guild's recruits need for training, Ahn agrees to take all three for six hundred million won total, around four hundred and eighty-six thousand dollars. Jinwoo then has him open his mouth and shut his eyes before dosing him with a health potion that mends the cut instantly. By the following day the White Tiger Guild realizes it was played: comparable gates in their own territory were going for seventy million won less than Ahn paid. A message from Jinwoo lands, framing the overcharge as payback for the snooping and calling them even. Outmaneuvered but undeterred, Ahn at least walks away with Jinwoo's contact details. The chapter ends with Jinwoo cruising the highway in a red truck, eager for his job-change quest, as the Blood-Red Commander Igris steps forward to challenge him.

Spanning both the Yoo Jinho Raid Party Arc and the opening of the Job Change Arc, this chapter was folded into Episode 10 of the anime and appears in Volume 3. Its final panels set up the brutal Igris confrontation that dominates the chapters that follow.
