Anya learns from Loid that no Stella Star will come from the terror incident; the whole affair must stay quiet for the sake of East-West relations, so she cannot breathe a word of it at school. She falls back on her older scheme of befriending Damian, betting that news of her new dog will get her invited over to compare pets. Becky responds exactly as hoped, peppering her with questions and proposing a playdate, but Damian only asks why he should care. Anya collapses in theatrical despair, Emile and Ewen cheer their leader's effortless victory, and a puzzled Damian relents enough to ask the dog's name. Anya realizes no name exists yet, blurts out "Dog," and is pronounced unfit for pet ownership as he walks away. At lunch, Becky coaches her on naming, striking down both "Peanut" and "Furry" before advising her to leave it to her parents.

Home again, Anya is flattened by an overjoyed Bond, and the family sets out for a dog park near the library. Loid denies her request to hold the leash until she is bigger, explaining that discipline must be constant and that caring for a dog is a commitment spanning its whole life. His tip that dogs respond best to plosive sounds like B, P, and T reaches Yor's ears as "explosives," conjuring a daydream of an assassination partner who insists on C4. At the park, Anya's idea of fetch involves throwing her own shoe, which she must retrieve herself, and she canvasses other owners about their dogs' names for inspiration. Watching her play, Loid turns his own lecture on lifelong responsibility back on himself: when Operation Strix ends, this family dissolves, and the best he can do is have WISE provide for them afterward. The near-miss with war hardens his resolve to end the cold war era.

As they prepare to leave, Anya's gloves go missing. The dog sniffs them out in the jaws of another dog, which growls over its new treasure until Anya's dog looms close, frightening it into surrender. The retrieval mirrors a Spy Wars scene in which Bondman recovers Princess Honey's stomach warmer from the League of Evil, and the perfect name clicks into place. That evening, with a bowtie around his neck, the dog is formally named Bond, to the whole family's approval. Anya pours his food, sneaks a disappointing taste of it, escorts him to his litter box, and settles in with him for Spy Wars. When Loid emerges from his bath ready to enforce study time, Yor beckons him around the corner to see Anya and Bond asleep in a heap, and he grants her the night off.

Anya's dog-based plan to win Damian over fails, embarrassingly, over the dog having no name.

Loid teaches Anya about the lifelong duty of pet ownership and privately confronts the temporary nature of the Forger family.

Bond recovers Anya's stolen gloves, echoing a Bondman rescue from Spy Wars.

The dog officially receives the name Bond, taken from Anya's favorite cartoon spy.

The naming-advice gag differs by language. In the Japanese text, Loid says dogs cannot distinguish consonants, which Yor mishears as "causes of death." The English version has him say dogs prefer plosives, misheard as "explosives," leading to her C4 daydream.

The chapter closes out the Doggy Crisis Arc and is adapted in Episode 15 of the anime. All four Forgers, Anya, Loid, Bond, and Yor, appear on the cover.
