Chapter 76

At home, Anya basks in her second Stella Star while Loid and Yor lecture her about the risks she took. Convinced the ordeal may have traumatized her, Loid resolves to handle her gently and drives her to school himself, apologizing for his absence during the crisis. Anya, who knows he was there, is unbothered, but a family outside the window prompts her to ask whether parents who picked their children up love them more, a question rooted in Melinda's strange behavior. Loid spirals into worry that she resents him, and Anya exploits the readable guilt to secure an after-school cake trip.

At Eden, Henderson and dorm tutor Thomas Austin agree the school must look after everyone's mental health. Damian arrives with his attendant Jeeves and fields questions from Emile and Ewen about his family visit. In his memory, the visit was one boy eating alone in a vast dining room, until Jeeves mentioned that Melinda had prepared every dish with her own hands. Damian tells his friends it was all as usual.

Class brings a status upheaval. Damian and Becky have gained standing, and Anya, styling herself "Double Starlight Anya," is suddenly a celebrated hero drafting plans for world-spanning friendships. Damian's attempt to deflate her by exposing her commoner background backfires, feeding classmates' fascination instead. The two argue their way into being late for class.

Mission 76 opens Volume 12 with 19 pages, released March 6, 2023, closing out the Bus Hijacking Arc and adapted in Episode 46. The cover assembles the three Forgers with Billy, Vadim, and Becky.

This is the first chapter to show the Forgers owning a car, apparently the same vehicle from Special Illustration 2; until now the family always walked or rode public transit in the manga proper, with Loid driving only in extra material and the anime's second opening. Jeeves also makes his first physical appearance after prior mentions.
