Summary

Playing spy at home, Anya stages an induction ceremony where her stuffed Director Chimera welcomes the aquarium penguin into the secret agency "P2." The ritual offering, a peanut split in half for both toys to share, gets eaten entirely by Anya since plushies cannot chew. Newly christened Agent Penguinman, the recruit receives a tour of headquarters: the living room doubles as a control center for gathering cartoon intel, and Anya introduces her operatives, the all-capable "Agent Papa" and "Agent Mama," who fights well but does little else. Stops at the bathroom infirmary and her homework-filled bedroom follow.

The tour's finale is the most classified zone, her parents' bedroom, which Anya warns Penguinman he will not survive seeing. Loid intercepts her at the door and forbids entry without permission; both parents frame it as protecting her, though each is really hiding the equipment of a secret trade. Anya bursts into tears, declares she hates them, and threatens to run away. Panicking over Operation Strix, Loid grabs Penguinman and speaks through the toy, begging her to stop crying for world peace and offering a mission instead. Yor joins in with a robot toy, and the mollified Anya marches her parents to a Second Street candy shop to stop imaginary villains. The roleplaying procession draws stares from onlookers, mortifying the spy who must never stand out. A purchased treat restores Anya's mood and Loid's peace of mind.

Notes

Numbered Chapter 15.2, this extra was adapted in Episode 12 of the anime. Volume 4 prints it after Chapter 23, but the timeline places it shortly after Extra Mission 1, since the penguin from the aquarium trip is brand new here. Anya alone appears on the cover.
