Tsutomu Ono supervised eight episodes across Dragon Ball Super's critical arcs. In the Universe 6 Saga, he directed episode 39, introducing Goku's new Time Skip counterstrike technique. His work expanded into the Future Trunks Saga, handling episodes 56, 63, 69, and 75, which featured pivotal battles including Goku's rematch with Goku Black and Vegeta's battle against Goku Black as a Super Saiyan Rosé. Ono's supervision extended into the Universe Survival Saga, overseeing episodes 80, 87, 93, 101, 109, 119, and 126. These episodes showcased some of the tournament's most memorable confrontations, from Gohan's crucial fight to the final clash between Vegeta and Top.
