Yamcha and Dragon Ball
Tōru Furuya gave voice to Yamcha across the entire Dragon Ball saga: the original Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Z Kai, and Dragon Ball Super. He also voiced Saibaman and Puck in Dragon Ball GT: A Hero's Legacy. Beyond Dragon Ball, Furuya is a veteran narrator and voice actor who spent decades as a core cast member for major anime franchises. He voiced Amuro Ray in the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise and Pegasus Seiya in Saint Seiya. From 1977 to 1986, he was the drummer for SLAPSTICK, a band formed by Dragon Ball voice actors including Hirotaka Suzuoki and Toshio Furukawa. Born in Yokohama in 1953, Furuya has worked for Aoni Production and remains active in voice acting and narration.
