BG9

BG9 is a tall figure encased in a white helmet that swallows its whole head, leaving only a single glowing eye with no iris visible through slits beside a central peak. A high-collared white cloak drapes its broad frame and conceals a nest of extendable tendrils, while armored plating guards its shoulders, upper back, torso, forearms, and hips. The gold surface beneath shows wherever the plating does not cover, and that same armor doubles as housing for its built-in weaponry.

Methodical to the core, BG9 treats every fight as an exercise in collecting information on its opponent. It is coldly ruthless, ready to threaten or harm an enemy's family, children included, to pry loose an answer. Beneath that mechanical detachment, however, it clings to a real dread of dying, pleading with Yhwach for its life by insisting it could still be of use despite its loss.

BG9's spiritual power measures at or above a captain's, on show when it overpowers Second Division captain Suì-Fēng, and as a Quincy it forms weapons from Reishi and ranks among the swifter Hirenkyaku users, quick enough to blindside even her. Its body is a mechanical construct, described as an automaton, hollow in part and hard enough to stop Suì-Fēng's Suzumebachi cold; when Haschwalth finally executes it, a dark, blood-like fluid leaks out as its eye dims. It reads spiritual pressure with unmatched precision, able to trace family ties and locate relatives at a distance, though a target suppressing their Reiatsu can still elude it. Its chest houses long metallic tendrils that pierce stone and flesh and can drape a captured foe in a Reishi curtain to extract data, and its plating conceals stud-like missiles it fires in devastating volleys before rapidly reloading. It can also repair itself after heavy damage and manifests a Quincy: Vollständig that revived it. Its favored arm is a ten-barreled Reishi Minigun, and it carries a Medallion capable of stealing a released Bankai, which is how it claimed Suì-Fēng's Jakuhō Raikōben, though a Bankai in its possession barred it from entering Vollständig, and a Hollowfied Bankai returns to its Shinigami owner. After interrogating and threatening the family of Lieutenant Marechiyo Ōmaeda in its hunt for Suì-Fēng, it duels her and is ultimately beheaded alongside Cang Du on Yhwach's orders.
