Giselle Gewelle

Long black hair spills down past Giselle's waist, with a pair of strands that jut upward like insect antennae above a set of blue eyes. Rather than the plain white coat worn by most Sternritter, she sports a personalized version: a long-sleeved trench coat paired with dark leggings and pale shoes. A little peaked cap sits tilted on one side of her head, its black brim stamped with the Wandenreich crest, and a blue heart-shaped clasp fastens at her hip.

On the surface Giselle plays the giddy airhead, grinning through even the bloodiest fights and needling teammates like Candice for sport. That mask hides a genuinely vicious streak. She leans on reverse psychology, presenting herself as a defenseless girl so enemies will strike first and trigger her power, then steers them into gruesome ends while staying eerily calm; she once made a squad of Shinigami gut themselves fully aware, begging her to stop. Her cruelty spares no one, not even her own circle. She butchered a wounded Bambietta despite the girl's pleading and later turned nearly all of the Bambies into corpses under her command.

A confirmed necrophiliac, she cradles and fawns over the dead bodies she raises, drinking Bambietta's blood and gushing over how cute the girl looks even in death, while slapping and abusing those same zombies the moment they annoy her. Twisted as it is, a warped affection does surface: she regenerates Candice's and Bambietta's lost limbs and insists her fallen friends will be looked after, though that care means forcing them into undeath. For all the sadism, she panics whenever her own life is on the line. Loyal to Yhwach at first and eager to please him, she felt betrayed once he used Auswählen to cull the weaker Quincy, and eventually threw in with the Shinigami to bring him and Haschwalth down.

Ranking among the Sternritter, Giselle wields spiritual pressure on par with a captain and, like any Quincy, gathers ambient Reishi to shape her weapons, a task that comes easiest where spirit energy runs thick, as in Soul Society and Hueco Mundo. She darts about using Hirenkyaku, slips between dimensions through Shadow, and shrugs off punishment that would fell most fighters. Her bow, the Heilig Bogen, folds into the heart clasp at her belt and springs open at a click, firing skull-tipped Heilig Pfeil.

Her Schrift, The Zombie, defines her. Anyone splashed with her blood becomes a puppet corpse obeying her orders, up to killing themselves; against fellow Quincy the trick only works after death, at which point she can call up their bodies at will and even fire off their own Schrift. Weak victims fall to a single drop, while strong ones must have the blood spread from the heart, leaving captain-class zombies with reddish skin. Those turned before dying keep fresh cells, react faster, and lose all will, making them fully hers. She also mends allies by grafting flesh or whole limbs from the dead, and heals her own grievous wounds. Her Vollständig, Azhalbiora, granted bone-shaped wings and a skeletal tail before Yhwach's Auswählen stripped that ability away. In the end the Quincy King cut her and her zombies down in Wahrwelt.
