Fierce Fight! Shinigami vs. XCUTION!

With the digital arena reshaped into a mock version of his hometown, Ichigo squares off against Kūgo, only for Uryū to insert himself and turn the duel into a two-on-one affair. He reveals that Rukia patched his shoulder mid-fight and confesses he once suspected an earlier substitute existed, an apology Ichigo answers with a kick and an order to stay out of his way. Scattered through the other pocket worlds, the remaining battles run in parallel: Kenpachi has already cut down Giriko and grumbles about being finished first, kept in place only by Yachiru reminding him of the promise to return together.

Renji, refusing to strike a woman before she strikes him, weathers Jackie's oil-fueled Dirty Boots, then shatters her assault to prove that his seventeen months of training were meant for facing Aizen. He spares her, but Jackie, unable to escape and unwilling to be left for Yukio, incinerates herself with her own Reiatsu. Hitsugaya, meanwhile, tears through Yukio's traps and summoned monsters, provokes the boy into a boastful monologue, and freezes him solid, giving him a five-minute deadline to dismantle every dimension he built.

Ikkaku endures Moe's Jackpot Knuckle, popping his dislocated shoulder back into place before realizing that luck powers the boy's strikes and that weapons are therefore pointless against him. Casting aside a broken Hōzukimaru, he beats Moe unconscious in a brawl of fists. Byakuya, disgusted by how Tsukishima violates people's bonds, blocks the Book of the End with Senbonzakura and promises to strike him down first.

Kenpachi kills Giriko and returns to the real world. Renji defeats Jackie, who then takes her own life with a burst of Reiatsu. Hitsugaya subdues Yukio and begins encasing him in ice to force the release of the dimensions. Ikkaku knocks out Moe in an unarmed contest after his Zanpakutō is broken. Byakuya clashes with Tsukishima and vows to end him, while Ichigo's fight with Kūgo continues.

The episode adapts material drawn from chapters 464 through 468, with a page each from 467 and 471, and belongs to the Lost Substitute Shinigami arc. It first aired in Japan on March 6, 2012, and reached English audiences on October 12, 2014. A comedic Xcution Dictionary segment shows Riruka waiting alone at a tea party while the other members fail to appear.
