Summary
Isane wakes and is told to rest as her captain, Unohana, brings her manta-like Shikai Minazuki down into a Seireitei street. The creature disgorges the injured it had been healing in its stomach, among them Omaeda, Chojiro, and Kiyone, then folds back into its sealed form. Sensing that someone still fights on Sokyoku Hill, Isane learns that Ichigo is battling Byakuya, and Unohana, judging that they cannot halt the captains who have left, asks Isane to accompany her elsewhere.
In the forest, a single leaf is sliced apart between the clashing kicks of Yoruichi and Sui-Feng, who each accuse the other of losing their edge. Sui-Feng recognizes the Shihoin crest on Ichigo's Tentoken and mocks the clan for its coming fall from the Noble Houses, then reveals that she now leads both the Onmitsukido and the Keigun.
