With Orihime and the soul candy piloting Rangiku's gigai looking on, Hitsugaya gasps for breath as he holds off Shawlong with Daiguren Hyorinmaru, cursing at the sight of Nakeem standing over a downed Rangiku. Shawlong dismisses the captain's Bankai as pathetic. Nearby, Renji hurls Hihio Zabimaru at Yylfordt, who bats it aside, closes in with Sonido, and rips a diagonal slash across his chest, then mocks his release and jeers that the Gotei 13 has lost all credit if such a loser can be a lieutenant.

On the Urahara Shop roof, Jinta is stunned to find Ururu behind him in her pajamas, her stare vacant, and realizes the Arrancar's alien spiritual pressure has flipped her into Slaughter Mode. She springs into the air just as Yylfordt moves to finish Renji, appearing behind the Arrancar and kicking him across the sky. She seizes his throat, declares him a threat to be wiped out, and rains blows on him. Enraged, Yylfordt slashes her off and activates his Resurrección, Del Toro, in a burst of steam. When it clears, he has become an armored, top-heavy bull with Ururu impaled on one horn, and he tells Renji this is what an Arrancar's sword release looks like.

Featured in Volume 24, IMMANENT GOD BLUES, of the Arrancar arc, and adapted into Episode 120, Hitsugaya Scatters! The Broken Hyorinmaru. The chapter introduces Yylfordt's bull-form Resurrección, Del Toro, and showcases the destructive Slaughter Mode that overtakes Ururu when confronted with overwhelming spiritual pressure.
