Jinta Hanakari

Jinta is a small boy with red hair, dressed in a white Urahara Shop tee and turned-up blue three-quarter trousers. Seventeen months after Aizen's fall he looks noticeably older, slicking his hair straight back and switching to a sleeveless blue shirt edged in white with grey pants worn down instead of cuffed.

Hired to handle chores such as sweeping the storefront, Jinta usually dodges the work to daydream about baseball or soccer, dumping most of it onto Ururu Tsumugiya and bullying her, yet he plainly cares for her and sits quietly nearby while she is healed. Sharper than his age would suggest but still childish, he loves branding Renji Abarai a freeloader, denies Ururu's claim that he only cleans out of fear of Tessai, and nurses a crush on Yuzu Kurosaki, whom he calls The Goddess and whose every gift he treats as sacred.

When Rukia Kuchiki first drops by the shop, Jinta greets her with his usual attitude, and he later joins Urahara's crew to recover the Mod-Soul Kon from Ichigo's body. He tags along to Don Kanonji's Karakura broadcast and needles Ichigo throughout the training in the shop's underground shaft, taunting the bound teen about the hunger that warns of Hollowfication. Impressed by his strength, neighborhood kids draft him for a soccer match, and during Ichigo's absence he enlists in Don Kanonji's Karakura Superheroes as Karakura Red, slaying Hollows to guard the town.

When the Arrancar strike, Jinta watches Ururu slip into her Genocide Mode against Yylfordt Granz, catches her when she is flung through the air, and lands blows on the Arrancar with his kanabō to no effect before Renji's Bankai shields the pair. In the years after Aizen's defeat he keeps working the shop, chasing off children who play baseball out front or copy his signature move, the Jinta Home Run.
