Outside, Quanxi's Fiends finish smashing the leftover Dolls when Kishibe, Kobeni, and Galgali arrive. Reading him with her power, Pingtsi notes that Kishibe is bound to the Knife, Claw, and Needle Devils, then dismisses him as no threat because he has no unpledged body parts left. Kishibe advances all the same as they brace for combat. Within the building, the remaining hunters, aside from Aki and the knocked-out Angel Devil, reel from Quanxi's assault: she boots Denji skyward, then drops Kusakabe and Tamaoki. Yoshida calls up the Octopus Devil to soak up the blow and sprays the room with ink, but Quanxi spots him slipping in from behind and knocks him cold. Before she can finish him, Kishibe steps in holding Long and Pingtsi hostage.

Kishibe has Denji and Power tie up the captives, and Power admits she had only been feigning death. Old acquaintances, Kishibe and Quanxi sit to talk things over; as he speaks of retirement and aging, he raises notepad pages warning that Makima is eavesdropping. Through the written notes he offers Quanxi her freedom in exchange for helping kill Makima, but she declines, conveying through a roundabout anecdote that she would rather stay uninvolved, calling ignorance bliss. Right then Aldo bursts in and fires at Denji; Kishibe kicks the boy clear so the shot misses, though Long uses the opening to grapple Kishibe and break loose, and in an instant Quanxi and Kishibe lunge at each other's throats.

This Volume 7 chapter sits in the International Assassins arc and reunites Kishibe with Quanxi, a former colleague, on opposite sides of the brawl. The standout beat is Kishibe's notepad gambit, a way to plot against Makima while she listens in, and Quanxi's flat refusal to be drawn into the war. Her parting line, that ignorance is bliss, foreshadows how she keeps choosing detachment over the conflict swirling around her.
