The 69th chapter of Chainsaw Man closes out Denji's brutal duel with Santa Claus, as his burning body and relentless chain wear down her distributed regeneration until he tears the puppeteer apart for good.
Both fighters are in agony when the chapter opens, Denji griping about the searing heat of his own flaming form while Santa Claus shrugs off her wounds with instant healing and ridicules his recklessness. He fires back that he has soaked up plenty of TV, then shows that his chainsaw's chain has already coiled around her. Reeling himself in, he carves into her again. She dismisses the effort, since her injuries spread out among countless dolls, but he points out that the glow of his fire is dragging her recovery to a crawl.
She hurls him into a wall, and a wave of dolls smashes through to stab his back, content to let blood loss and flames finish him. Denji simply rips into the puppets, gulping their blood to recover, sneering at her taunt that he will rejoin Makima in the afterlife. Hauling on the chain, he starts dragging her in despite the constant battering. Panicking, she has her dolls anchor her in a tug-of-war, then sends a car full of them barreling into him for a huge blast, yet he rises from the burning wreck wrapped head to toe in fire, still pulling.
Denji reveals his chain is already wrapped around Santa Claus, letting him close distance at will. His flames are shown to slow her shared regeneration, the key that finally tips the fight. He drinks doll blood to keep healing through repeated stabbings and a car explosion. Driven by his wish to take a trip with Makima, he lifts Santa Claus off the ground, drags her in, and rends her body apart, then slams the burning car remains into her for a second blast, reducing her to a smoldering ruin.
The chapter belongs to the International Assassins arc and runs in Volume 8. Its title plays on Power's name through the phrase shining power. Makima appears only as part of Denji's recollection and motivation rather than in person.

Look, the origins of this viral showdown trace back to a single tweet that playfully juxtaposed Reze's enigmatic allure against Bakugo's expl...

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
