Hideji plays guitar in Brave Force, one of the band's four regular members. Though their music can carry into the land of the dead, he himself senses nothing of the spiritual, lending his sound to Seiko's exorcisms.
He turns up as part of Brave Force's deliberately unconventional look, the kind of flashy rocker styling that prompts Seiko to first mistake the group for intruders rather than the performers she hired. Hideji is modeled on Hide, the guitarist of the band X Japan.
Hideji throws himself into the band's theatrical entrances, striking poses with his bandmates and greeting clients with their signature hand gesture. He feels the stakes of a gig deeply, falling distraught when Toshiro is knocked out cold mid-performance, yet he keeps playing on Seiko's order. For all the spiritual weight their music carries, he stays completely oblivious to the supernatural himself.
During the Evil Eye business, Seiko brought the band in to exorcise the yokai lodged inside Jiji. After an awkward start where Seiko nearly turned them away, Hideji and the others confirmed they were the act she had booked, set up, and launched a thunderous performance. Jiji, beginning to sympathize with the Evil Eye, begged them to stop, and Seiko called the ritual off. The band parted on good terms, inviting the Family to ring them anytime, an offer Momo figured would come up again. Manjiro indeed tried to recall them after another close call, but the exorcism was scrapped once Okarun took on training the spirit.
Seiko later hired the band for a festival meant to pull the Onbusuman off Rin Sawaki's back before it could crush her. Hideji performed atop a moving float alongside Toshiro and Patarson while Yoshikichi drummed below and Float Pullers hauled them through the city. Their music raised a barrier against the possessed Kami High building, though smaller Ninomiya Kinjiro statues slipped through the mesh, and a slab of concrete struck Toshiro down. With Rin eventually stepping up as vocalist and pouring out her feelings, Hideji and Patarson drove a renewed barrier that repelled the Shining School Building, and the group capped the song with a blast that wiped out the pursuing spirits.
Afterward, freed of Mai's resentment, Rin and the others joined the Brave Force and the Float Pullers at Kumamori Shrine for a meal, where Seiko praised their work before shooing them off once they had eaten their fill.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
