After another late-night rampage trashes the Ayase house, the mysterious Hayashi troupe Seiko hired finally arrives and begins a musical ritual to drive out the Evil Eye.
The combined effort of Momo, Okarun, Aira, and Seiko finally calms the Evil Eye, but not before the home is left wrecked. Aira scolds Jiji for carelessly rinsing his hands in cold water. Tending to an injured Okarun, Momo confides her exhaustion at having to keep Jiji on constant alert, and Seiko shares the worry, certain the house will be rubble by morning. A strange group then turns up on the property and slips away the moment Seiko notes they are trespassing.
A petty squabble breaks out between Momo and Aira over who should be leading, after which the strangers reappear and announce themselves as the Hayashi that Seiko brought in, leaving the household stunned. Seiko explains the troupe has no spiritual sensitivity, yet their playing can carry all the way to the underworld. Once the ritual is arranged, the performers strike up their music to draw the Evil Eye from Jiji, a sound the onlookers find genuinely captivating.
Their first piece is striking enough to hoist Jiji off the ground and send him into convulsions. The chapter introduces the named Hayashi members Toshiro, Hideji, Patarson, and Yoshikichi. It belongs to Volume 7 and was adapted into Episode 18 of the anime.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
