Black Paladins

Thirteen noble houses scattered worldwide make up this clan, all rallying behind one creed of global conquest that they push forward by striking at urban centers. Their shared banner does not guarantee harmony, and discord between the families is reportedly common despite the unified goal. As Seiko tells it, they operate as a concealed circle of humans who strip yokai of powers and curses to turn themselves into Power Users, then take paying work as corporate diviners. A normal diviner counsels clients on investments and business moves, but the Black Paladins pervert that calling, hammering rival firms with sabotage delivered through their occult skills.

Red Baron entered Saint-Germain's service after the count laid hold of the power within the Fairy-Tale Card, joining a plot to forge an ultimate yokai by draining abilities from humans. Borrowing the count's kozuka knives, Red Baron deputized a few willing agents, every one of whom fell to their marks, namely Momo, Okarun, Seiko, and their allies, save for Adachi, whom Red Baron disqualified for lifting an undisclosed power off Murakami. Long before that, an exorcist who counted Seiko as a friend ran into the clan on an overseas job and was left badly wounded, after which the group also overpowered the area's shaman.

During the Shimane Arc, Red Baron faced Momo and Seiko head-on with the Space Ninja Reptilian, called in at the Serpo's behest, but the duo lost and he had to report the scheme's failure. Saint-Germain then pivoted to a gentler tack, resolving to win over the Family. Defying that instruction in the Six Curses Arc, Red Baron summoned Jack Wisp along with Vakappa to ambush Rin Sawaki and former ally Koki Yukishiro at Veon Town. The trio grabbed the powers but were instantly humiliated by a tiny yokai girl, Hanako, who clobbered the two henchmen and stuffed them into toilets while Red Baron slipped off with the knives. He brought the spoils to Vlad, whose change began once four of the six required curses had been collected, prompting Saint-Germain to set up Red Baron's own power as the fifth.

All told, thirteen prominent houses spread across the world form the organization, with the Delacroix Family and its prince Vlad ranking among the leading players. Agents bound to the clan include Red Baron, who acts as Saint-Germain's enforcer, plus Jack Wisp and Vakappa, the duo sent to seize the abilities of Rin and Koki. Vlad's guard, the Dragon Knights, likewise operate in pursuit of the remaining curses tied to the Fairy-Tale Card.
