Overview

The Takonoka Ru Patcho is a large exosuit standing around three meters tall, owned by an Advance Unit Kur since before the invasion of Sumer. Its silhouette is deliberately lopsided, with a crowned head, big eyes, broad shoulders, a pinched waist and wide hips, all covered in elaborate patterns. The design draws on the Shakokidogu clay figure, matching the figurine theme, and its name follows the octopus dish pattern from takonokarupatcho, octopus carpaccio. Its motto is it is worse to be deceived.

Function

The suit carries ten missile launchers in total, six set across its back and four doubling as its arms and legs, letting it flood an area with guided projectiles. For defense it deploys four floating disks that generate an electric barrier, electrocuting anyone who touches it and shrugging off most strikes, which the pilot bragged made him unbeatable through perfect offense and defense combined. The shield has one weakness: dry, non conductive material can slip through it, as Aira discovered when her unmaintained hair turned brittle enough to pass the barrier.

Notable Users

The Advance Unit Kur piloted this suit through the Space Globalists Arc, ambushing Aira and Jiji with missile barrages and the electric shield, and joining the squad that defeated Momo, Jiji and Mantisian as a hospital basement hologram. During the Kur Invasion he blew up the Ayase car and traded blows with Aira, repeatedly electrocuting her and boasting that his upgraded base let the unit fight beyond three minutes. After Okarun shared the secret of spiral power, Aira spun her hair into a drill, chipped the armor, and finished him with her named technique Pirouette, Noble Drill, piercing the suit and killing the Kur inside.
