Vamola's Reasons

The enemy confronts Banga, admiring the Sumer god exosuit's power and vowing to hunt her down and kill her. Once they realize only a Sumerian can open the portal, Banga assures them they will never get the chance, so they begin torturing Aja, crushing her head to break Banga's resistance.

On Earth, Bamora steps outside recalling her mother's instruction to find a strong man for strong offspring. Acting on it, she assaults two men she judges weak and brawls with anyone and any beast she meets. Chewing grass off the ground, she watches a couple kiss and puzzles over whether that is the marriage Banga described, later wondering if there is more to it and whether kissing is how babies come to be. She then catches Momo speaking with Okarun and spots Kinta watching them, and her suit flags all three as no ordinary humans. Moments later Okarun knocks her through a wall, marking him as strong, and after enlarging she loses control as the suit locks onto the trio. Jumping ahead, Momo throws Bamora out, convinced she serves the enemy, and the girl blames herself for the harm she caused and pleads with her mother for the courage to return and confront her old foes.

Back in the present moment, the whole group, Momo together with Okarun, Jiji, Aira, the Serpo and the Mantisian, takes in Bamora's full history through her memories, and Momo breaks down in fury.

Hastur and his crew menace Aja's life before Banga to force the warp gate open. Down on Earth, Bamora hunts for a powerful husband, soon noticing Okarun, Momo, and Kinta and sensing Okarun's potent spiritual energy. Beaten in the fight, her suit triggers an emergency defense mode and battles by itself.

After Momo kicks her aside, Bamora weeps and pleads with Banga for bravery. Everyone snaps back to awareness once her sorrowful past has played out.

This twenty-two-page chapter arrived on May 16, 2023, placed in Volume 13 within the Space Globalists Arc and the Kintama Hunt Saga. The cast spans Banga, Bamora, Momo Ayase, Okarun, and Jiji, with Hastur, Reiko Kashima, Ta Komeshi, Aja, Ta Kowasa, Rin Sawaki, Kinta Sakata, Aira Shiratori, the Rokuro Serpo, and the Mantisian also featured.
