Chapter 238: Okarun's Decision

As Aira helps a battered Okarun toward Yatagarasu's barbershop, the barber's taunt about his weakness echoes in his head. Set on rescuing Momo, he tells Aira to press on without him. She refuses, noting the enemies both outnumber and outmatch them and that Jiji already stands with Momo. Okarun answers that he and Aira are meant to be bargaining chips, so he must free everyone even at the cost of his own defeat. When he keeps walking despite her warning that he no longer holds Turbo Granny's power, Aira grabs his hand, hugs him from behind, and admits he matters to her. Okarun replies that his heart belongs to Momo, crushing her. He gently frees his hand and moves on. Once she composes herself, Aira returns to support him anyway, declaring that she loves him too, that she is furious, and that he owes her, which earns another apology.

Trying to stop Momo's bleeding, Okarun watches her flinch in shock: Momo can now make out Aira even while she is wrapped in her Acrobatic Silky shape, a sign her spiritual power is creeping back. Aira snaps at her to focus on the healing, admits her temper is aimed at both of them, and works out that the Dragon Knight's talk of Momo being captured meant the dinosaur exhibit. Learning Jiji was gulped down by a long-necked dinosaur, the pair name it a brachiosaurus and reason he could still be alive.

A clown-masked Dragon Knight reports the situation to a colleague, assuring him that Jiji's death inside the brachiosaurus will not matter as long as the heroes still believe him a usable hostage. He brags about building living dinosaurs with Count Cagliostro through necromancy, but the colleague snaps that their real aim is to lift the Delacroix Family within the Black Paladins by seizing Okarun's power for the Fairy-Tale Card. Because Okarun carries an ID Cosmos, only capturing his friends can force surrender, so he orders Hase to act. The knight then rallies his underlings to deny Saint-Germain any further glory in their lord's name. Elsewhere, Red Baron speeds toward an unknown spot on a bike.

Okarun admits he loves Momo, breaking Aira's heart, yet she still chooses to aid the rescue. The trio realizes Jiji might cling to life a bit longer within the brachiosaurus. Both Dragon Knights and Hase hurry off to seize Okarun and force a surrender out of him. Red Baron races toward an unknown place by bike.
