Summary

Mid-training, Momo realizes Okarun urgently needs the toilet but refuses to allow it, since stepping away would break the constant contact keeping his curse in check. She explains that her psychokinesis works by seizing the aura she perceives and that she felt far stronger when the ability first awoke. Her grandmother tells her to shut her eyes and rely on touch alone, yet Momo falters and Turbo Granny starts seizing Okarun's body. Unable to wait, Okarun bolts for the bathroom, outpacing both women. With the curse pinned while he sits, Momo learns her true strength may still lie asleep within her, needing more practice to surface. She then sees blood at her grandmother's nose and is stunned that Turbo Granny now stands there in the washroom. The yokai reveals she speaks solely through Okarun and that her curse can slay anyone who has set eyes on him, the grandmother included. She demands Momo reach the tunnel that night or she will kill at random. Once the spirit leaves, contact with the others returns, and the grandmother, spotting her own bleeding and a scorched talisman, asks what happened. Before departing, she gives the pair spirit-warding clothes and embraces Momo, begging her to return alive. On the train, Momo burns with fury and swears to make Turbo Granny pay.
