Hippo Gentleman

This zombie joined a hippopotamus head to a roughly human frame, with spindly limbs, a stooped back, and a thick midsection. A mustache sits on the snout, and the number 28 is stamped on the right of his neck. Living up to the gentleman in his name, he dresses in a complete suit topped with a red bowtie, his hands tinted to match the head as though wrapped in hippo hide.

For all his refined attire, Hippo Gentleman had a savage streak and went after Nami meaning to kill. He did, however, show loyalty to his own kind, attempting to strike down Usopp in retaliation for purifying his commander Kumashi.

Like the rest of the zombies, he was animated when Gecko Moria sealed a stolen shadow inside him with the Kage Kage no Mi. Though his size suggested otherwise, he was weak, downed by a single kick from Inuppe and later by Usopp's Impact Dial, yet his vice commander rank hinted at some standing among the Wild Zombies. He pledged himself to Moria and to Perona in her garden, and feared Absalom enough to obey him without being his subordinate. During the raid on the Wonder Garden he lunged at Nami and was booted into a wall by Inuppe. He recovered and led the chase, defied Absalom's order to spare Nami, and got blasted aside when the bazooka fire meant for Inuppe rang out. Back in Perona's room he was told to capture the Straw Hats, only for her Negative Hollow to fail against Usopp. When he tried to avenge Kumashi against Usopp, the Impact Dial knocked him cold. Whether he was purified is unclear, but Moria's Shadow Asgard would have claimed his shadow regardless, ending him.
