Summary

Picking up from the surprise strike that closed the previous chapter, Daki swats Tanjiro's blow aside and hurls him to the ground. Drained by the dance technique, he can barely rise, but a recovery breathing method lets him shake off the fatigue and slip past her follow-up. When he presses forward, her obi blocks the kill, leaving him to drive his body temperature even higher.

He remembers a moment at the Butterfly Mansion with Kiyo Terauchi, who fretted over his persistent fever and wanted to alert Shinobu. Tanjiro insisted he was fine and explained he had been drilling the Hinokami Kagura to sharpen his skills, pleading for a little more time before she reported it. Back in the present, the technique grinds on his body, yet he refuses to ease up so the district's people are spared the grief he once knew.

Key Events

Over at the Ogimoto House, a panicked staff member tells the other women she has seen a boar-shaped monster tearing through the ceiling and floor. They dismiss the strange report while, nearby, Inosuke gleefully finds a hole leading to what he calls a demon nest. Boasting at the opening, he tries to plunge in headfirst, discovers only his head fits, and treats it as a contest, popping his joints to squeeze through and terrifying the onlookers.

Crawling along the passage, he emerges in the main cavern and finds lengths of obi strung everywhere, with several people bound inside it, Zenitsu among them, knocked out. As Inosuke tries to rouse him, the obi stirs and demands to know why he is there, and the chapter closes on his revulsion at the worm-like cloth.
