Tajima

A plaid shirt layered under a dark sweater accounts for most of what Tajima wears. His hair is black, cut short, and his eyes are black as well. Youthful and entirely unremarkable in build, he has exactly the sort of face that vanishes into a crowd of displaced civilians, which is precisely the quality his assignment demands of him.

What binds Tajima to All For One is terror rather than conviction. He assumes that any spy who fails to deliver, or who strays from an instruction, gets removed, and that assumption is enough to make him carry out orders no matter who gets hurt along the way. Underneath it sits a second belief that feeds the first: he takes it as settled fact that All For One will end up ruling the world, so the only question left is whether he has earned a place in that world.

On the surface he plays the part well, keeping his manner flat and controlled while embedded among the refugees. Internally he is far less steady. Good news sends him into private elation and setbacks send him spiralling, and the gap between the calm exterior and the churning inside widens whenever events stop going to plan.

Four other agents were slipped into U.A. alongside Tajima, all of them wearing the cover story of refugees taken in by the school. Messages arrived from All For One in secret, and Tajima passed them on: the group was to seed resentment among the sheltered civilians until the pressure drove Izuku Midoriya out of the building. The scheme became moot almost immediately. Standing in the crowd, the spies heard Izuku and Class 1-A announce that they intended to leave regardless. Tajima reported it upward, reading the news as proof that his employer's victory, and therefore his own survival, had been moved forward.

Once fighting broke out, the moles were told to take direction from Skeptic. Tajima and Mihaera waited among the evacuees while Skeptic broke into the school's network and threw the transit blocks on the U.A. to Shiketsu High School route into disorder. Then the line to Skeptic went dead. Left without instructions and convinced that a man who contributes nothing has no future under All For One, Tajima brought one of the blocks to a halt from within and reached for his Quirk, which generates electricity from his thumbs, meaning to do further damage to the school's systems. Gunhead spotted him mid-attempt and called out that the mole was found.

The sabotage did lasting harm despite the interruption, permanently killing the foundation of one block and forcing everyone inside it out into the open. The infiltrators themselves were run down by Gunhead working with Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu and Itsuka Kendo, and it was Gunhead who took Tajima into custody. After the Final War closed and All For One fell, Tajima went into custody along with everyone else in the ring.
