Karren von Rosewald is the last survivor of a German ghoul dynasty who spent nine years disguised as a boy named Kanae in service to the Tsukiyama family. Bound by a love for her cousin Shuu that she could never confess, she was warped by Eto's torture and died shielding him.
As Kanae she passed convincingly for a slender, androgynous youth, her looks echoing both her cousin Shuu and her mother Emma. Violet hair sat short with a long curl sweeping down one side, framed by heavy brows. The household's servant uniform suited her daily role, while off duty she favored dress shirts and slacks, presenting herself in a deliberately masculine way that erased any trace of her sex.
On hunts she wore the black coat and veil of the family servants, topped with a white domino mask across her eyes. Everything shifted after Eto's captivity. She switched to an oversized black trench with rings at the shoulders and heavy boots, and her new mask, a white surface stitched into a bared-teeth grin and dotted with scattered eyes, closely mirrored the look of the Aogiri member Noro.
Theatrical and given to grand gestures, she laced her speech with German much as Shuu did, and Chie Hori noticed her odd habit of talking to roses. Underneath the flourish lay complete loyalty to her bloodline; she surrendered her identity as a woman to honor her dying father's wish that the Rosewald line survive. Her attachment to Shuu bordered on obsessive, careful though she was to hide it from others, and jealousy flared toward anyone close to him, Chie above all. Eto's torment later fractured her mind, leaving her to address a severed head as a rose and carry it toward her master as a gift.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Born in Germany, she fled with part of her family when Matsuri Washuu led a raid on their Bremen home. Her father stayed behind to buy the others time, her mother Emma collapsed and died early in the flight, and her brothers Nathanael and Arunolt fell defending her. Reaching the Tsukiyama estate, she took on the role of the family's male heir and coined the name Kanae from the initials of the relatives who had tried to escape. Raised as a servant, she grew fiercely devoted to Shuu and fell in love with him, concealing both her feelings and her sex from him alone.
When Shuu sank into depression over Haise Sasaki, she blamed Sasaki entirely and set out to kill him, hunting victims to tempt her master's appetite and attending the auction, where she clashed with the Quinx Squad. Eto seized on her unreturned love, capturing and torturing her to bend her to her will. During the Tsukiyama Family Extermination Operation she reappeared in a Noro-like guise, cut down Shimoguchi, and rushed to save Shuu from Sasaki. In their final confrontation she was mortally wounded, yet when Sasaki flung Shuu from the tower she followed him down, hurled him to safety with her kagune, and asked only that he call her by her real name before she fell to her death. Her powers included a rinkaku kagune of ribbon-like tentacles and, after Eto planted a bone in her, an abnormal regeneration that once reattached her severed head.
Eto seized on Karren von Rosewald's unreturned love for her cousin Shuu Tsukiyama, capturing and torturing her until it fractured her mind and bent her to Eto's will.
