Enma builds his hero look around a storybook conjuror. A pointed scarlet hat crowns a short orange robe, and lengths of patterned, multicolored fabric and sashes hang knotted about the costume, one of them drawn across his eyes as a blindfold. Underneath the getup he is a lean adult man who keeps a goatee.

Little of his private character reached the page, but his conduct spoke plainly enough: he spent his last moments getting Momo Yaoyorozu and her classmates out of harm's way, which is about as clean a statement of principle as a hero can make. Supplementary material adds that he had a fondness for women and had held a place in the Top 10 at an earlier point in his career, with Midnight rating him a genuine candidate to stop Gigantomachia and others expecting him to climb back into the rankings before he died.

His Quirk, Magic, spins ring-shaped energy out of his wrists into floating platforms that lift him and anyone with him, limited only by what can physically fit through a ring.

During U.A.'s second round of work-studies he took on a pair of recommendation students: Momo Yaoyorozu out of Class 1-A, plus Setsuna Tokage from 1-B. The three of them were folded into the Singapore Task Force, which answered to Big Red Dot, the top hero there, when the World Heroes Association moved against Humarise's branches worldwide after a Trigger Bomb attack killed thousands. They seized the building but found neither the bombs nor Flect Turn, and every other raid came up empty the same way. Once Humarise broadcast its ultimatum naming twenty-five cities and a two hour clock, Momo manufactured sensors and Setsuna spread them among the heroes with Lizard Tail Splitter while Majestic ferried Momo wherever she was needed next. Big Red Dot's Tidal Bore hauled their device into the sky under Momo's covering fire, and the wider effort disarmed every bomb and put Flect Turn away.

Edgeshot assigned him to the Villa Raid Team for the Paranormal Liberation War. The assault on Gunga Mountain Villa went well, Cementoss opening the walls and the heroes cutting through the front's rank and file, until Tomura Shigaraki woke at Jaku and Gigantomachia started moving. The students got a heavy dose of anesthetic down the giant's throat, and Momo called Majestic in to keep the beast active so it would circulate faster. He arrived with other pros, told her and her classmates that every decision they had made was right, and then Gigantomachia transformed. With the students in the blast path, he raised them clear on his rings and was crushed. Setsuna found his body afterward and carried the news to Momo, who was already grieving Midnight; his name went on the casualty list.
