The Promise That Was Kept

What looks like a gesture of surrender turns violent as Obito seizes Naruto by the throat, insisting he regrets none of the choices he has made. Naruto pushes back, telling Obito to abandon his fantasy of ever becoming Hokage, then breaks loose and lands a punch. Wrenching Obito's arm aside, he leaves the Uchiha powerless once the Allied Shinobi Forces succeed in releasing the tailed beasts, who thank Naruto for their freedom while a broken Obito stares up at the moon and mourns the emptiness he could never fill.

Sasuke moves in to finish the fallen Obito, but Kakashi steps through from the other dimension, pinning him and readying a kunai on the grounds that Obito is his to deal with. Minato's sudden arrival halts the strike, the Fourth Hokage assuring his former student that Obito's heart has genuinely turned, and Kakashi lowers his weapon. Focus then swings toward Madara, against whom Naruto shapes a Big Ball Rasenshuriken bright enough to light the path for his comrades.

Episode 387 of Naruto: Shippuden sits in the Birth of the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki arc and adapts chapters 654 and 655. It aired in Japan on November 20, 2014, and in English on April 4, 2017, with Silhouette as its opening theme and It's Absolutely No Good as its ending.
