Their hunt for answers runs into official stonewalling and an accidental glimpse of Tohru at his side. For Motoko, weighing both her looming graduation and her exit from the club, the situation forces a reckoning with feelings she has tried to bury.

Takei refuses to reveal whether any female members will sit on the council, leaving the fan club frustrated. Their mood curdles into fury when they happen upon Tohru chatting with Yuki. Determined to learn more, Motoko recruits Rika Aida to help her slip into the council office, where the two unexpectedly cross paths with Yuki himself. A conversation that drifts toward leeks exposes Motoko's mounting unease, which slowly hardens into open jealousy. She bolts for the school grounds, and Yuki tracks her down to apologize for anything he may have said that wounded her. The exchange leaves Motoko finally grasping just how deep the bond between Yuki and Tohru runs.
