Master Driller
CharacterOne blunt idea defined Master Driller's hero career: an arm that ends in an enormous drill. Introduced only in the anime, he joins the evacuation of Jaku City and dies there, destroying a Near High-End Nomu from inside the creature's own jaws.
Appearance
A blue visor guarded his eyes, set into a helmet that sealed his head in black apart from a white face plate and a yellow star motif across the brow.
The costume itself ran maroon. Metal protectors shielded his legs. On the left he wore an armband and forearm guard; the right arm was given over entirely to a massive drill. His shoulder pads did not match, the left rounded and split between red and gray, the right blocky and solid red.
Personality
Little of him reached the screen, but what did showed nerve. He committed to helping fellow heroes who were in danger and to seeing a fight through to its end, whatever it cost him personally.
History
Master Driller joined the hero offensive against the Paranormal Liberation Front, assigned to the group clearing civilians out of Jaku City.
Tomura Shigaraki's enormous wave of Decay leveled Jaku General Hospital and killed dozens from the Hospital Raid Team. Evacuation personnel rushed toward Endeavor and the handful of survivors, and Tomura loosed a swarm of Near High-End Nomu to keep them out.
In the fighting that followed, Master Driller went to Burnin's aid against a leech-like Nomu she was struggling with. The creature took him halfway into its mouth, and from there he drove his Quirk through its brain. It died, but its jaws closed as it went, killing the hero instantly.
Ryan Negrón voiced him in English, and also performs a teenaged All For One.
