Bulletproof

Bulletproof stands tall and heavily built, his black hair worn in tight cornrows. His costume runs yellow and burnt orange, studded with round armored discs across the waist, shoulders, and chest, and he tops the look with a pair of slim visor glasses.

Blunt and quick-witted, Bulletproof says exactly what he thinks and rarely bothers to cushion it. He carries a sarcastic edge and will call out immaturity, incompetence, or hypocrisy even from his own teammates, coming across as confident to the edge of cocky while staying grounded in principle, as when he flatly dismisses Rex Splode's swagger. He watches people closely and distrusts easily, pressing on shaky authority or suspicious behavior such as Shapesmith's cover story or Cecil's slide into grey ethics.

Beneath the abrasiveness he is a genuine team player, worrying over allies like Shrinking Rae and mourning the deaths of Rex and Dupli-Kate. His cynicism about the Guardians' dysfunction masks a real craving for order, integrity, and competence. He would rather walk away, as he does when Cecil deploys the ReAnimen, than serve people he cannot trust. When the pressure peaks he steps forward all the same, fighting through the Invincible War, risking himself for teammates, and letting his grief show.

An enhanced physiology lifts Bulletproof well past human limits, granting him strength, toughness, reflexes, and endurance that rank him among the strongest of the Guardians. He can levitate and fly freely, giving him full command of the air in combat and travel. Cecil rates his raw power highly, and he backs it up by holding off swarming Sequids, trading blows with the ReAnimen, and standing toe to toe with the variant Gogglesvincible before finally being overpowered.

His body shrugs off heavy punishment, emerging unmarked from clashes that would cripple most fighters, and any wounds he does take mend at an accelerated pace. He also moves fast enough to strike a distracted Gogglesvincible before the double could react, and he can sustain peak effort through long battles without tiring. On top of the raw gifts he is a skilled hand-to-hand fighter with an iron will that keeps him swinging even when badly hurt.
